Drink Responsibly, Live Responsibly!
At Carib, we are fortunate to have an engaged and diverse workforce with a steadfast commitment to sustainability and responsibility. By building strong ties with each other, our suppliers and surrounding communities, we’ve proven we can make a difference when we’re all working toward a common cause. We act as ambassadors for safe and responsible beer consumption, volunteer to improve our beaches, rivers and watersheds, and help reduce our impact on the environment.
In fact, we started recycling glass since back in 1948 through Carib Glassworks has been. CGL obtains its cullet (the raw material term for used glass) from landfills and dumps, bars, hotels, schools, community groups and residential associations, private and public companies and individuals.
Through this we are promoting greater awareness for the importance of glass recycling and to encourage the public to recycle used glass by depositing them in glass recycling bins. This will in turn remove excess burdens from our landfills and dumps and will preserve and conserve the earth’s natural resources like sand and limestone.
Our 8,134 employees work together as a single team rising to meet—and even exceed—our challenges. Our people are our most valuable asset, and their impact on our business is visible in each statistic and accomplishment in this site.
We invite you to talk and engage with our people who are hard at work writing our sustainability story, by contacting us with your questions and information needs.
We also encourage you to get involved in the recycling programme. If you have a community group, residents’ association, school, private or public company, hotel, restaurant or bar, we will be happy to work with you to start your own glass recycling project.
